...because you won't appreciate the final product if there's no hard work and frustration involved. That's a load of hooey, but it made me feel better when I was in the process of buying mine!
so it looks like i'm not going to buy one after all... i admit... i'm disappointed. i was "ready" for a new car. they're asking a reasonable price, but i just can't afford it right now. way too much money for way too long a time.
Do it the Dave Ramsey way! Pay yourself a car payment (you can afford) 'till you have enough cash to buy a better car than you have now, then repeat and move up every few years 'till you have what you really want! I will definitely do it that way with my next car - I am about to pay mine off and I am SOOOOO looking forward to not having a payment!
Dave came to Houston a few years ago, and I went to the conference. It was a great experience! I don't know that I want to continue getting new cars all the time...so I probably won't do it exactly like that. Right now, it looks like I'm going to save up and buy one at "end of year closing" time in 2008.

ReplyDeleteThe trick is being their headache, and they back down. I just bought a set of wheels and had fun with it....but I got my way, my price & my payment.

ReplyDeleteKudos Carissa for being a Dave Ramsey listener. I love Dave and can't wait for him to come to Houston :-)
