New Purchase

I saw a commercial for an item that actually made me think about buying it. Opposed to what advertisers want, this doesn't usually happen when I see the thirty second blurb on television. This one got my attention though. I went to the store and began perusing the toothpaste selection until I found it.

Have you tried it?

Mine is the mint flavor. Which I highly recommend. If you're in need of toothpaste (or even if you're not, but don't like yours) try some of this!

Guest Comment Card

I left town last Friday for a college girls' weekend in Arkansas. While I was gone, my cousins from Little Rock stayed at my apartment one night before they sailed out of Galveston on a cruise. When I came back Sunday, I found a note from my cousin's husband on my table.

***** 5 Stars!
Thank you so much for the use of the facilities. Best hotel I've ever stayed in. I turned quite a few heads in the complex having used the complimentary "Japanese Cherry Blossom" shower gel. Although I can't speak for Spencer, I think I may have learned something from the complimentary Breast Self Examination shower card. "Good Read" :)

Interesting Circumstance

I have lost my voice. I mean as in it is totally and completely gone. It started Sunday morning with a little bit of a scratchy throat, but it has gradually regressed until I can barely whisper! It's completely draining to try to talk when you can't! I went to bed last night at 7:30 and was asleep about 8:00. I had piles of pillows in hopes that sleeping sitting up would be helpful for breathing and to slow my coughing down a bit, too. It did help, but I woke up this morning with even less of a voice. Lemme tell ya, teaching is interesting when you can't talk!

It's Raining

This morning I received some standardized test scores back in which some of my students didn't do so well.

I have received two nasty emails and another not so fun email.

One coworker is pushing an issue that I'd rather her not push.

All in all, this hasn't been a great morning.

Addiction

I freely admit it.

I'm addicted.

I'm not sure I could go a day without it and am happy I haven't been asked to try.

I'm glad I don't observe Lent as I'm sure I would be asked to give it up.

Yesterday's Summary

I woke up at 7:44. I'm supposed to be at work at 7:30.

I left my lunch at home.

As I pulled into my apartment, I scratched my VERY NEW side mirror on a parking lot pole.

I had a fun meeting and a wonderful dinner with some great friends!

It was a great day! (I'm only being slightly sarcastic.)

My mom tried!

Growing up, I would always take my shoes off whenever I entered the house. But I never did this in just one spot. Shoes could be found by the television, in the hallway, by my backpacks, by the step leading into our living room, by the doorway in the dining room, just wherever! My mom tried to get me to take them off in my room (novel thought!) but I never did get very good at it...and was even less adept in actually putting them in my closet!

As you can see, I still have this habit.

By the door, when I first walk in.

These came off by the ottoman, because I needed to sit down to remove them!

And these are sitting comfortably at the end of my bed. Never mind that the closet is literally one step away!

Bare Necessities

I had a VERY small window of time yesterday, but I absolutely had to stop at the grocery store.

I was out of toilet paper and diet coke.
