Face to Face time
I had dinner with a friend last night. We hadn't had face time in a long time and it was wonderful to catch up. Part of our conversation centered on relationships. Both of us feel face time is pretty important. It's hard for us to feel close with someone if we're not sharing our daily lives. We still love the friends we talk to every few months. But conversations in which you're trying to catch someone up on the "big things" in life do not encourage a closeness or a depth in friendship. I realize not everyone may feel this way. But we do, and it was nice to have our face time to revitalize the connection our friendship has always had.
